Myanmar

Our newest program is in Myanmar - an incredible country with a need for sustainable enterprises. We work with local Burmese families to recycle soap waste from Yangon's hotels. The soap is distributed, along with simple hygiene classes, to orphanages, juvenile detention centers, and communities of people from leprosy in Yangon, neighboring Bago and Bagan.

My Experience with Sundara

”Through my work with Sundara and soap recycling I’ve been able to see first hand the importance of health and good hygiene to every single person in our country. I’ve finally found my passion – going to primary schools to help these students learn good habits to care for themselves for the rest of their lives. It’s incredible to see their eyes light up when we give them soap – but more importantly I know that the education we provide them with will keep them healthier for the rest of their lives. I believe that with this message and the passion we carry for it, we will change Myanmar and help so many deserving people.”
