Providing Hygiene Kits for Women and Girls in Rajasthan: COVID-19 Emergency Relief

Updated: Sep 24, 2021

We partnered with RSKS India to deliver 153 hygiene kits to women and girls in Ajmer, Rajasthan, during the COVID-19 lockdown. The kits were delivered to women living in 8 different villages supporting marginalized communities to sustain themselves during the lockdown. The kits included sanitary pads, hand sanitizers, vitamins, soap and reusable facemasks.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rajasthan was forced to lockdown which involved the closure of shops. For women and girls living in remote communities, accessing necessities, including sanitary pads, became much more challenging.

Through our partnership, we worked with RSKS India to supply the hygiene kits to the women which were paired with a training session on menstrual hygiene. Both the village authorities and attendees expressed their immense gratitude for the program.
